Amazing little place right near the Circle Line terminal. Great pizza and other Italian dishes. Bartender was friendly and engaging!.

I am so happy to have found this amazing restaurant during a recent stay. Remi is a star at the bar and the salmon was phenomenal. Can't wait to return.

Very delicious gluten-free pasta bolognese, and pasta with sea food. Restaurant was nice and clean. Service was fast.

We came for an early dinner while visiting in NYC. They checked for my allergies to ensure I wasn’t getting anything I shouldn’t (soy & oregano). Staff was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. We will definitely be back!

Loved this place! Old school Italian feel in a new setting. I didn't even look at the menu just asked my server for a spicy (really spicy) pasta with meat. The food was fresh and amazing. Both my girlfriend and I were in and out within 30 minutes. I will go back again.

Came to La Vela for the first time and the the experience was terrific! The owner, Antonio, was very helpful and gave us the best suggestions on what to order. My gnocchi was made to perfection and even better pizza. Will definitely come back and I recommend to anyone!

Amazing Italian food, best pizza and great hospitality. We came in, got a table straight away and were recommended the calamari as a starter. Just amazing flavors. squid ink linguini with fresh seafood and pizza diavola as mains... great bottle of wine with it and our super friendly waiter... definitely recommend and hope to get back here soon!

Blown away about the service we received here. We were greeted immediately and the staff was really warm and welcoming. Felt really homey and definitely would recommend. Not to mention, the Food was so delicious. The starter bread they serve was so soft and the sauce they pair with it was “chefs kiss” . We got the carbonara and steak and twas prepared to perfection. THANK YOU

Excellent food, excellent service. I had the black ink linguine I can't rave about it enough. I wish I lived in NYC so I can come here every week.

[Rounded up from 3.5] a friend and I decided to stop by, as we have passed by a few times. We got the Capricciosa Pizza and Fettuccine Bolognese to share. The pizza was just ok, but the pasta was delicious. The pasta was cooked to my preference (nicely al dente), and the sauce was good. We also got some cocktails. I was a bit taken aback by the Espresso Martini, but I think that's on me for not catching that the cocktail includes Bailey's. It was empty when we arrived, but service was attentive and we got our food fairly quickly. All in all, not a bad spot to get some decent Italian food.
